Jillian Michaels Day in NYC & Fitness Ultimatum 2010

Hey Mommy's.......

I have been asked by Sarah to write about our trip to NYC to meet Jillian Michaels, so bear with me I am VERY NEW to blogging. So here goes...

On Wednesday, September 15th Sarah and I went to The Sports Center Chelsea Piers in NYC to meet Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser on NBC. We left our homes around noon time to catch a 1:30pm train from Trenton to Penn Station. That was so easy, I would have to say the easiest way to get to the city. We arrived in NYC around 3:15pm and the event is to start at 3:30pm, so we caught a cab to The Sports Center and made it in about 10 minutes. The cab driver did an excellent job at "stepping on it". I was nervous, I really do not like to be late and going through my mind was if we are late is Jillian going to yell. I was not ready for that. Well she did not yell and we made it in the nick of time. The Sports Center was huge right on the water, who wouldn't want to work out and look at the Statue of Liberty. So Cool!

Ok, lets gets to Jillian. She is this tiny little woman made of muscle. I think her legs are the size of my arms. She really is so much prettier in person than on TV. I am happy that the camera adds 15 lbs in her case. I have to say that she was so gracious and willing to talk and take photos with everyone, she did not want to rush you at all. I was very impressed. I brought along my copy of her book, Master Your Metabolism, for her to sign and posed with her for a few photos. I told her after watching the Biggest Loser, she was my motivation to teach group fitness. I really have a whole new look on diet and exercise. I can tell she really is a life coach, which is what you need to make a full life transformation.

I know you are asking why was Jillian in NYC, well to promote her new Wii Fitness Ultimatum 2010, which is in stores on October 6th. She told us all about her experience making the game and then had a trainer from the sports club demonstrate some of the exercises. You got see a little of the Trainer Jillian come out when the fella was not doing the exercise correctly. So fun, I actually wanted it to be me up there. Once she was finished speaking we all had the opportunity to try the game.

I was impressed with the new game and
cannot wait to get it and put our Wii to use. The game seems so interactive you really can understand the movements and best of all Jillian is working out with you. The wand and balance board can sense pretty well when you are doing the exercise incorrectly, which is so important. There are pre-programmed workouts by Jillian or you can create your own, but who would do that. I was even able to set a goal for example, I want to lose 15 pounds in 6 weeks and then the game would create the work out schedule and program for you. The game even gives you tips on diet between exercises. I am really going to try it. So far the game looked really cool and I am looking forward to trying with my husband. I hope to try and up date you on my progress to hitting my goal of losing 15 pounds in 6 weeks when I get the game. Also, Jillian did say that this is a family type Wii game, so get the kids involved too.

All in all the day was a success in my eyes. I had a great time meeting Jillian and trying the new Wii Fitness Ultimatum 2010. Don't forget the game hits stores on October 6th.
